Project Manager Pharmaceutical Technology (P-PMPT)

Location: Rochester, Michigan

Position Summary:
JHP is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill our Pharmaceutical Technology Manager of Projects that provides organizational direction and discipline to management of the project timelines, budgets, and scopes for site projects. These projects include but are not limited to process development activities associated with improving manufacturing operations, product enhancement initiatives, introduction of new products, and implementation of new process and equipment technologies to increase manufacturing efficiency, capacity, and profitability. The position is accountable for maintaining, developing, and implementing department policies and procedures for product transfer schedules, project scheduling, and reporting.


Essential Functions / Key Results Areas:
The Manager of Projects is expected to promote a positive working environment, as well as collaborate with peer group and JHP management to satisfy strategic goals and objectives. The position requires a proactive leader who is responsible and accountable to provide expert technical opinion to management to assist in formulation and execution of company strategic planning to assure that the company is positioned to meet or exceed industry and regulatory expectations.

  • Supports the Rochester site Pharmaceutical Technology department in a timely and successful fashion in support of JHP’s business requirements. Areas of focus include but are not limited to:

 
  • Project Management

  • Capital Planning

  • Department Metrics

  • Tracking and Reporting Project Status

  • Prioritizes and monitors progress of departmental projects and activities

  • Investigates production variances related to process, material and equipment problems and makes corrective action recommendations.

  • Establishes and Maintains Effective cross functional relationships.

  • Keeps current, through industry sources, with general trends in process, equipment, and facility methodologies and technologies. Able to adapt departmental methodologies to current industry standards and practices.

  • Must be decisive making effective decisions in a timely manner and lead efforts to resolve complex problems.

Requirements:
Education / Qualification / Certifications
A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree from a Four-Year College or University in a technically related discipline; (Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Bacteriology and Biology).

Experience / Knowledge:
Minimum of 3-5 years of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience. At least two years directly related to Sterile Products Manufacturing.
